COMMUNICATION

When the stakeholders have been identified next step is to build an effective communication platform to establish organisational ownership and engagement as well as personal responsibility among stakeholders. To motivate key stakeholders and make them proud of being part of the project, to make them true ambassadors. To create managerial commitment in order to secure enough resource allocation (managers are change agents). And to assure that all stakeholders knows exactly what the key message of the change is and the what’s in it for me factor.
An important communication objective is to make sure that all stakeholders get the needed communication at the right time in the right way during the change period, so they feel well informed, involved, confident and positive about the changes. To bring forward detailed information about the project and the process to limit speculations, fears (e.g. change of daily work routines, having to learn a new system) and change resistance.
